Although Lou has been in bands and played all over Sydney since forever, it has only been the last 2 years and the release of her debut album “Love Someone” since it has all really mattered.
As she lives high up in the hills behind Mullumbimby on the far north coast of NSW, Lou’s music sounds just like where it comes from. Rootsy, mountain music. This very refreshing pure sound has caught a lot of people’s attention. Including John Butler, when he gave a grant to Lou after hearing her songs.
Since then, she has recorded her debut album, “Love Someone” which received many accolades and critical acclaim, including 2 golden guitar nominations in 2008 and an ARIA nomination in 2007.
After hearing Lou on ABC radio, Lou was hand picked by Troy Cassar-Daley to tour with him during the last half of 2007. Lou is now in pre production ready to record her second album with highly acclaimed artist and producer, Shane Nicholson.
Lou’s songs and her charming delivery make for a valuable and rare show of both authenticity and character. She is the real deal.
