AUTHORISED BOOTLEG Authorised Bootleg is a Goulburn, NSW based trio playing a repertoire of standard covers. This guitar, bass, drums outfit has played at various weddings and clubs since forming 6-months ago.
The members of the band Ron McLaughlan, Tony Wade and Geoff Bell are three of Goulburn’s most experienced musicians and their repertoire is quite diverse.
Ron McLaughlan has worked with artists such as multiple Australian Blues Music Awards winner Kate Meehan, blues guitar wizz PJ O'Brien and the legendary Phil Manning. Apart from Authorised Bootleg and another Goulburn outfit The Band With No Name, Ron is currently working with Melbourne blues/R & B outfit, The Wolfe Gang. He can also be found at folk festivals around the country playing a mix of traditional folk tunes and his own material.
Tony Wade has been playing guitar, bass, keyboards and singing professionally in a variety of bands since age of 15. He has covered styles as diverse as Punk, Rock& Roll, Country and Jazz. Tony formed and wrote music for comp winning band 'Emily's Wish' and was a founding member of 'Brass in Pocket' - The Australian Pretenders Show. He has written songs performed by artists such as Paul Greene, Tomorrow's Revue and live children's shows 'Astro Boy' and 'Madeline'. Tony co-wrote the song 'Jack's Verandah' which was used as the music for the Everyready Energiser TV commercial in the late 1980's. He is back in the live scene after a 10 year hiatus.
Geoff Bell has played drums with artists as diverse as blues guitar legend Phil Manning, country recording artists The Sunny Cowgirls, Col Finley and Paul Costa, and blues artists Kate Meehan, PJ O'Brien and The Wolfe Gang - as well as high-profile singer/songwriter Paul Greene. He currently works with country artist Grant Luhrs who is better known for his No. 1 comedy hit, Nude Bootscootin' and cover band The Band With No Name.
