| Acclaimed singer-songwriter Paul Greene has signed a licensing deal with Japanese label Tsunami Music for the release of his ‘Distance Over Time’ album. The album will be released in Japan on 22nd November 2009. Greene will travel to Japan on 5th December for a 10 day, 6 city promo tour that will include concerts in Tokyo and Osaka.
“We have been searching for world class music to introduce to the Japanese people and the gods have not ignored our efforts. After hearing Paul’s music I feel like we have discovered a diamond and are very honoured to be working with him. We are committed to helping him soar higher and higher,” said Tsunami CEO Hironobu Arai.
Paul Greene will join a roster that includes legendary Japanese outfit Flower Travellin’ Band, hit-maker Joe Yamanaka and Los Angeles based Australian blues singer Kara Grainger amongst others.
“The idea of playing to an entirely new audience is both inspiring and exciting,” says Greene. “Tsunami has been wonderful to deal with, their enthusiasm for the music and ambitions as a label are fantastic. I am very honoured to be involved with them.”
The Japanese release of ‘Distance Over Time’ will feature 2 previously unreleased tracks: ‘Bumpy Ride’ and ‘Talk To Me’.
